The company is characterized by its high flexibility, which is appreciated by many customers. Most of the decorative candles in the range can be produced in almost any color shade (except gold and silver). For some candles, it is also possible to adjust their height and thickness, and to combine the color and decoration of the candle according to the customer’s requirements, whenever possible. If several identical pieces are needed, they are produced. Everything is mainly about communication with the customer, which is the top priority.

The story of this small family business began back in 2000 in Malacky. Production started with refills for grave candles, which are exceptional because only pure, high-quality, odourless paraffin is used, with a minimal oil content (max. 0.5%). The plastic containers are made of PVC material, which is self-extinguishing, meaning that if a burning candle is knocked over, the plastic does not catch fire. In addition, wicks with a reinforced core are used for better stability, which prevents the wick from “drowning” during hot summer periods when the candle melts more while burning. In summer, thinner wicks are used in production (due to the heat), and in winter stronger ones, so that paraffin does not remain on the sides during freezing days. The refills are regularly tested and there are many satisfied customers. All refills are produced and poured by hand, without the use of machines.

As the company gradually grew, production expanded to decorative candles as well. At first, these were only pillars of various colours and sizes, or scented candles in containers. Later, other moulds began to be used and painting and decorating techniques were added. Having been on the market for more than 25 years, a wide range of different moulds has been acquired and extensive experience gained in the production of both grave and decorative candles. Naturally, all decorative candles are also made exclusively by hand, using pure, high-quality, odourless paraffin with a minimal oil content (max. 0.5%).

From its founding in 2000 until 2024, the company operated under the name Nadežda Komorníková - JAS. This name was created after its founder, Nadežda Komorníková, who started everything and, thanks to her skill and diligence, built it up. Since 2024, the company has been run by her daughters, continuing what has been learned over the years, under the name Nadežda Komorníková - JAS s.r.o.
